How do you master your mind through meditation?

I have been meditating for about half a year. I can clear my mind and keep it free of pointless everyday thoughts. However, I want more. What can I do during meditation to become closer to myself and create thoughts that can affect the physical world. I believe thoughts have energy and mass and can influence the physical world. How can I become master of my mind?

I have seen a few claims here and on other forums that if you meditate or get hypnosis, then the door is open for demons to come in. However, I cannot find a source for this idea. Do you really believe that quieting the mind is dangerous? If so is there a Biblical basis for this? What about our ordinary state of mental chatter? Can a demon really get through to someone who is in meditation that cannot get through when that person is worried about their to-do list, what they are going to have for dinner tonight, etc?

In another question, someone suggested that meditation just made your mind numb and empty, and then it was in danger of being filled with wrong thoughts.
I don’t know if they meant it became the Devil’s Playground after that or not.

I’ve never felt that way in meditation, and I wonder if this is a popular Christian belief, that prayer is good but meditation is not.

Mind control is always an effective tool for stress management but, it is not always easy. When your brain receives stress signals from the outside, it reacts in the way it is designed to in a quest to fight back or to get away from the situation altogether. The key is to identify the stressor or the problem, then deal with it. This means that you have to create positivity despite of the situation and demonstrate that even with problems, you can still go ahead with confidence and make it through the hurdles of life. This can be done by constantly reminding yourself that all will be well and that you have the power to go on. Others use meditation where they take time to get in touch with their inner feelings as they rejuvenate and re energize.

Stress mainly depends on physical, emotional, or chemical event that causes mental or physical tension. I’ve heard that meditation and visualization can help cure problematic things within the body. Every time i try to meditate instead of visualizing what i want i visualize what i’m afraid of and what i have. Its uncontrollable. I try to calm my mind and do a self-hypnosis if you will to clear my mind completely and visualize positively but my thoughts seem to be contradictive and sparatic even during meditation. Can anyone give me any advice on how to meditate/visualize properly and positively?
